Prices a bit high for the tasting - 5 half-ounce shots for $14.50, or those shots can be mixed into mini- or full-sized cocktails which were delicious. Honey Rye Whiskey was incredible, with real honey liqueur. Fun bar-like atmosphere with very personable service crew (guy who graduated from JMU was A+)!

The tasting room was small, the music way too loud and there wasn't much to look at or material that told you anything about the distillery or it's origins. The Honey Rye was fantastic, but the samples were pricey and to purchase a bottle would have lightened my pocket way more than I expected, so I left empty handed. Despite being small, the building was wheelchair accessible, but the parking lot was unpaved making it difficult to roll across.
Their liquors are FANTASTICALLY crafted and this carries the majority of their rating. The tasting room itself is a little lackluster and the drink consistency varies depending on who your bartender is. I have one gentleman who I know makes the cocktails perfectly every time, so if I come by I ensure that he is working first. Again, the liquors themselves are fantastic. I never thought I would enjoy a gin-based cocktail until I tried Silverback. Definitely worth a stop on your 151 cruise.
